Course Overview
Building upon a foundational understanding of Scrum, the Scrum Master course focuses on enabling participants to effectively fulfill the Scrum Master role as defined in the Scrum Guide. This involves mastering the facilitation of Scrum events, coaching the Scrum Team and the wider organization on Scrum adoption and Agile principles, removing impediments, optimizing workflow, and upholding Scrum theory and values to maximize the value delivered by the team. This course is ideal for individuals aspiring to or currently in Scrum Master roles and prepares participants for certifications like CSM or PSM.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the Scrum Master course, participants will be able to:
- Coach the Scrum Team and organization effectively on Agile principles, Scrum values, and empiricism.
- Facilitate all Scrum events skillfully, ensuring they are productive and achieve their objectives.
- Guide the team and Product Owner in optimizing artifact transparency (Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, Increment) and the Definition of Done.
- Coach the team on advanced Scrum techniques (User Stories, estimation, workflow optimization) and the use of metrics for improvement.
- Identify, track, and facilitate the removal of impediments hindering team progress, while coaching self-management and cross-functionality.
- Support and guide the broader organization in its Scrum adoption and Agile journey.

Participants enrolling for this programme will be required to have Foundational knowledge of Scrum (roles, events, artifacts), through prior experience, reading the Scrum Guide, or completing a foundational course.
Experience working in or closely with project teams is beneficial.
Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills are essential for the role.
