Effective Planning and Scheduling

As project managers and leads, we all know how difficult it can be to accurately determine the duration of a project, yet that is exactly what is expected of us on a regular basis. The Effective Planning and Scheduling course will not disclose the secret of creating an accurate schedule, because there isn’t one. However, it will provide the factors and fundamental elements that you should consider and address when creating any type of schedule.

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

• Develop a comprehensive project plan that outlines project goals, deliverables, and activities.

• Create a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to decompose project tasks into manageable steps.

• Estimate the duration of each project activity using appropriate techniques.

• Identify task dependencies and sequence project activities logically.

• Develop a project schedule using tools like network diagrams, CPM, PERT, or Gantt charts.

• Allocate resources effectively to ensure efficient project execution.

• Identify and manage project risks that could impact the schedule.

• Communicate the project schedule effectively to stakeholders.
• Monitor and update the project schedule as needed to ensure project success

Participants enrolling for this programme will be required to have a minimum of 3 years’ professional experience. Participants who meet the programme requirement should pay the course fee and complete the enrollment form 2 weeks before the programme kick off date.
